4 out of 5 stars Really creepy!   July 16, 2010
John Crowley
For once in all the viewing of doctor who i have done, i have been scared, or more like slightly creeped out. Nevertheless it is a brilliant episode, like all the 1st doctor's! I really enjoyed watching it, and I too got carried away with the storyline!
One thing that always makes me happy about 1st doctor episodes, is that its like I'm constantly eating a foam banana(sweet, and its lovely, because I get that sweet feeling that makes me feel happy! :)

2 out of 5 stars But it was a perfectly good cardigan   July 9, 2010

Space Museum 5.5/10
The Chase 4/10

Episode 1 of the Space Museum is one of the best episodes of the era. The Tardis crew jump a groove in time and see their potential future. The sight of them in display cases is unnerving.

After that things go downhill quite badly, the most dramatic incident being Ian taking apart Barbara's cardigan without asking first.

The Chase is a load of rubbish, Peter Purves being given the role of Steven because not despite his awful performance as an American tourist. Episode 5 features a robot Dr Who played by an extra that looks nothing like Hartnell.

Episode 6 however is a good send off for Barbara and Ian and their final scenes are very touching. William Russell and Jacqueline Hill made a huge contribution to the early success of the series and would be missed.

5 out of 5 stars A must-have for the Dr. Who completest   May 26, 2010

A wonderful set featuring the first Doctor. I bought this for my wife, to help round out her collection. Watching the older episodes is nothing short of charming.

Doctor who: Genesis of the daleks was the first classic doctor who DVD i bought a few years back. And after watching that, i must say i have been hooked since then. Classic doctor who is just fantastic! everything about it is great (for its time). Not only do i watch the new series which i must say is awesome so far, and Matt smith is an amazing doctor. This weeks episode is vampires in venice and i can't wait ;)!!! You must buy this classic DVD boxset, its fantastic!

5 out of 5 stars Complete Version   May 4, 2010
Scott H. Berg (USA)
I live in America, and I have heard about the US version not having the Beatles clip on it so I decided to get the UK region 2 disk. I may have to watch it on my laptop, but I have the entire episode and can watch it as it was meant to be. I have been a fan since the 1970's, and enjoy both the original series and the new series.
