I purchased this DVD collection because of some of the more positive reviews, however, I was sorely disappointed! I did not find much to laugh about. I am an avid Anglophile, however, this proved not to be my cup of tea. Poor sexually suggestive puns; poor pacing; poor scripts.

Can I just say how underpriced and underrated this boxed set is? What a treasure! I'd never heard of this program but with such a great price and such glowing reviews, I couldn't not try it. I'm so very grateful for this show having been written and made and now released for all of us to enjoy.

Very real, very insightful, and very entertaining. It's simultaneously heartwarming and smart. The antics appear deceptively simple, yet the comedic script does hint at each lady's drama outside of her life in the canteen. Bren reminds a customer how there are greater issues to worry about in this world than her serving of tuna with corn, but even that gives the viewers a laugh.

Thank you for making such a quality show so affordable. If you've never heard of Dinnerladies, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

bought for my wife, who loved the tv series.exactly as described on amazon.just as if we were watching the original programme way back then. comedy still as good now, as then.

Dinnerladies is hilarious to watch, had me in stitches. its a great series to watch when you need cheering up Victoria Wood's writing is excellent i love her sense of humour, the actors are all top notch. So glad i bought this set and i know i will watch it over and over because comedy of this kind never ages.
